In collaboration with Homer City Generation, the Kiewit project team presented three beneficiaries with checks totaling $250,000 on September 19.

The inaugural Kiewit Cares – Homer City Charity Golf Tournament brought sponsors and partners together to raise funds and make a difference in Indiana County, Pennsylvania. The team selected these organizations to give back to the community where they have worked on the Homer City project.

The recipients are Indiana County Community Action Program (ICCAP), the Indiana County Endowment Fund and American Cancer Society of Western Pennsylvania. Each received more than $83,000.

“This donation represents the Kiewit Homer City Project team’s commitment to the Indiana County community and the culmination of our philanthropic efforts throughout the first year on site. We take great pride in exemplifying one of Kiewit’s core values of stewardship and look forward to continuing to make a positive impact in the community for years to come.” -Jacob Metzger, pipe director
