Kiewit Corporation subsidiary Weeks Marine completed three scopes of work at South Brooklyn Marine Terminal (SBMT), a key offshore wind staging facility in Brooklyn, New York. Additional scope included:

  • Demolition and reconstruction at 39th Street, including a new 1,100-foot sheet pile bulkhead wall, concrete bulkhead work and installation of marine fenders and bollards
  • Partial removal of steel cofferdam cells at 35th Street and placement of a riprap revetment slope atop the remaining structure
  • Construction of the SOV wharf, featuring scour protection, four dolphins on each side connected by aluminum gangways and a concrete berthing platform supported by 36-inch-diameter pipe piles

The SBMT scopes support long-term offshore wind operations and enhance marine infrastructure along Brooklyn’s working waterfront.
