Siena Francis House
The Siena Francis House is a new, single-story 43,958 SF building to support the needs of Omaha’s downtown homeless population. The project provides year-round shelter for up to 458 occupants – 356 men and 102 women. The new building includes both men’s and women’s dorm rooms, bathrooms including showering facilities, private consultation rooms, a commercial-grade kitchen, large dining room, clothing room, intake waiting rooms, and a dock where donated supplies can be dropped off.
The building is a single level, organized into zones according to use, and was built using readily available, durable materials including a brick exterior, burnished block interior partitions, and polished concrete floors.
Siena Francis House is the largest homeless shelter in Nebraska.
