Kiewit and Children’s Hospital have enjoyed a working relationship since the founding of Children’s Hospital during the polio epidemic in the 1950s. Since that time, Kiewit has been proud to be part of an organization that has grown to become one of the leading children’s hospitals in the country.

The Children’s Hospital and Medical Center Specialty Pediatric Clinic provides expanded space for the delivery of outpatient specialty care. The 135,000
SF, five-story addition to the existing hospital includes a lobby and waiting area, audiology, a dental clinic, cardiology clinic, a neurology clinic, an orthopedic clinic, lab area, and mechanical space. The clinical facility sits on top of a three-level, 300-stall post tensioned cast-in-place concrete parking garage. The project site was severely constricted with a functioning hospital on one side and the city’s main thoroughfare on the other side. Precise planning and execution was required to maintain safe and productive job-site conditions.
