The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) project consisted of selective demolition of platform elements, concrete repair, installation of granite edges, complete replacement of all platform tiles, installation of new wind shelters and pylons, complete station signage, electrical and communications, Public Address Systems, Passenger Information Display (PIDS), lighting within the station including pylons and platform edges, painting, replacement of ceiling panels, HVAC replacement, cleaning, replacement of station appurtenances, replacement of skylights and frames, renovation of bathrooms and service room finishes and fixtures, fire standpipe reconfiguration and connections.

This project showcases that Kiewit employees can “Go Where The Work Is.” Seven Kiewit Districts participated in this project, with the majority of the staff on temporary assignment away from home.
