Draper Light Rail Extension
West Jordan, Utah
The Draper TRAX Extension Project (Draper TRAX) project consisted of 3.8 miles of double ballasted track construction. Work included one equestrian underpass structure, three passenger stations and three park-and-ride lots. Additional features of the work included utility construction and relocation, seven grade crossings, intersection reconstruction, and the installation of signalization and communication systems. Because the project was constructed through multiple jurisdictions, extensive coordination and communication with several stakeholders including UTA, Utah Department of Transportation, Sandy City, and Draper City was paramount to project success. This $90 million design-build project was completed in 2013.
