Henry Ford Health Energy Partners, a team led by Kiewit Development and including Kiewit Power Constructors and Veolia, is partnering with Henry Ford Health to design, build, finance, operate and maintain a state-of-the-art Central Energy Hub as part of a major campus expansion project.
The Central Energy Hub, a key component of the expansion, will provide heating and cooling via a hot and chilled water system that will tie into the new hospital facilities. The facility’s design incorporates advanced technologies such as electrification, waste heat recovery and digital energy management.

Kiewit Development Company partnered with Provident Resources Group Inc., a leading national 501(c)(3) organization that manages projects in healthcare, education, workforce housing, hospitality, governmental, and essential services, to facilitate the issuance of tax-exempt debt for the project.
Construction on the Central Energy Hub commenced in late 2024, with an estimated completion date in the spring of 2027.
