Supporting Construction and Engineering Futures
September 3, 2019
While many kids dream of what they want to be when they grow up, not all of them are committed to a career path in high school. A few high schoolers, on the other hand, see their futures clear as day.
To encourage students who are planning to go into the engineering and construction industry, Kiewit recently selected six dependents of Kiewit employees as winners of the 2019 Kiewit Legacy Minority and Women in Kiewit scholarships. Each winner will receive $5,000 per semester per year for up to four years of college.
“Congratulations to all six of the scholarship winners,” said HR Operations Vice President John Shaw. “These men and women have bright futures ahead of them in engineering and construction, and we’re excited to support them in their journey.”
In addition to winning the scholarships, the students will have the opportunity to interview for an internship.
