And the winners are …

Thanks to a new Kiewit scholarship, three lucky college students will pay $5,000 less this semester. And if they play their cards right, they will continue to receive $5,000 per semester per year for up to four years.
Established this year, the Kiewit Legacy Minority Scholarship encourages diversity in the engineering and construction management field by offering scholarships to highly motivated, minority high school students who plan to pursue a degree in engineering or construction management.
To be eligible, students had to be dependents of a current or former Kiewit staff or craft employee whose full-time employment lasted at least five years. The students also had to meet strict academic criteria and write two essays.
Last month, Kiewit selected three winners: Dia Cuntapay, Juan de la Garza, Jr., and Doug McLenithan.

“Congratulations to Dia, Juan and Doug for earning this scholarship,” said HR Operations Vice President John Shaw. “We are excited to see what these exceptional students can do with their engineering degrees.”
