About Kiewit Development
Kiewit Development is the development, investment and asset management arm of Kiewit Corporation. We support Kiewit’s design and construction activities through developing, structuring, financing, bidding and executing work with U.S. and Canadian public-private partnership (P3) and alternative procurement agencies and private clients.

The Maryland Energy Impact Partners (MEIP), which includes Kiewit Development, Plenary Americas, Kiewit Power Constructors and Honeywell, is partnering with the University of Maryland to deliver the NextGen Energy Program. This program will upgrade and modernize the university’s energy system, providing for decades of efficient and sustainable energy.

Tlicho All-Season Road | Whatì, Northwest Territories
Kiewit is the project developer, concessionaire, design-builder and operations and maintenance service provider on the TASR project. This project involved the replacement of a winter-only ice road with an all-season gravel road that connects the town of Whatì to Hwy 3 heading north to Yellowknife and south towards Fort Providence. The TASR included four bridges, 12 other water crossing structures, a 97-km gravel highway, and geotechnical, drainage, traffic management, and wildlife management tasks during construction and operations.

Central 70 | Denver, Colorado
This design-build-operate-maintain-finance (DBFOM) project rebuilt a 10-mile stretch of Interstate-70, adding one new tolled express lane in each direction, removing the aging 54-year-old viaduct, lowering the interstate between Brighton and Colorado Boulevards, and placing a four-acre park over a portion of the lowered interstate. The design, submitted by Kiewit as a preferred alternate and selected by the client, was constructed to have a life expectancy of 75-100 years.

Southwest Calgary Ring Road | Calgary, Alberta
This project was one of the final sections of the Calgary Ring Road system, which circles the city of Calgary. It plays an important role in reducing overall traffic congestion and offers a safe, efficient route for residents as well as commercial vehicles transporting goods. Kiewit Development co-led the development of this $1.1 billion project, which used a design-build-finance-operate-maintain (DBFOM) delivery model.
