KEM Energia Constructora, S de RL de CV (Kiewit and strategic alliance partner GIA) were contracted for the design, engineering, procurement, construction, start-up, commissioning and testing of a 2X0 simple-cycle natural gas power plant.
The facility has the capacity to generate up to 605 MW of power from two dual-fuel GE 7HA.02 gas turbines. Upon its completion, the plant was the most efficient gas-fired peaker plant in Mexico.
