Electrical Fundamentals
Build a strong foundation in electrical theory, tool identification and usage, OSHA-focused safety standards and jobsite expectations.
Conduit Bending Bay
Learn how to measure and bend conduit, install conduit systems and apply layout and alignment techniques.
Rough-In Bay
Develop skills in system layout and installation, blueprint and layout interpretation and basic jobsite sequencing.
Cable Tray Bay
Learn how to install cable tray systems, maintain proper support and alignment and apply safe material handling and installation practices.
Duct Bank Bay
Explore underground conduit system installation, trenching and layout concepts and coordination with civil work activities.
Branch Circuit Bay
Practice wiring and connecting circuits, performing electrical terminations and applying basic troubleshooting concepts.
Grounding Bay

Who Should Apply
All are welcome to apply. This program is designed for motivated individuals who want to build long-term careers in construction. No prior experience is required. The program is designed to help you build practical skills from the ground up.
Training is currently held at a Kiewit training facility in Aurora, Colorado. Additional training locations in Texas are planned for later in 2026. Training location details will be provided during the application process.
The training program is two weeks long and focuses on job-ready skills through practical, hands-on learning.
Participants can expect a Monday–Saturday schedule with approximately 10-hour training days. Final schedule details will be shared before the program begins.
Yes. Training is paid, with wages starting at $24 per hour based on your experience and qualifications. After training, pay rates for positions vary by experience level and assigned project. Your recruiter will discuss compensation and what to expect after successful program completion.
Yes. Kiewit covers eligible licensing and certification fees, including NCCER credentials, as employees progress through training and career development.
You’ll gain hands-on training in electrical fundamentals, conduit bending, rough-in installation, cable tray systems, duct banks, branch circuits, grounding, jobsite safety and the practical skills needed to begin a career in industrial electrical construction.
Participants who successfully complete the program transition into field assignments on Kiewit projects, where they’ll continue developing their skills through ongoing training and career development opportunities.
