About Homer City

The Homer City Generation project will be the country’s largest natural gas-fired power plant.

Previously the largest coal-burning power plant in Pennsylvania, the site will be transformed into a more than 3,200-acre state-of-the-art energy campus.

The Homer City Energy Campus will generate up to 4.5 GW of energy production powered by seven GE Vernova turbines.

Equipment Operator Journeyman

Pay: $44/hr

Schedule: Current schedule is Monday to Friday, 12 hours a day. Day or night shift available. Additional days and hours may be required.

Requirements:

  • Operate a variety of vehicles and large heavy equipment while performing maintenance and repairs on roads and rights-of-way including loading, hauling and dumping on smooth to extremely rough surfaces.
  • All offers are contingent on your ability to pass a drug and alcohol test.
  • All employees are required to join or already be a member of Operators Local 66.

This role is affiliated with Operating Engineers Local 66.

  • Observe the functioning of installed equipment or systems to determine hazards.
  • Estimate sizes, distances, and quantities; or determine time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity.
  • Inspect subordinates’ work for compliance and/or deficiencies.
  • All offers are contingent on your ability to pass a drug and alcohol test.
  • All employees are required to join or already be a member of Laborers Local 910.

Pipefitter Journeyman

Pay: $51/hr

Schedule: Current schedule is Monday to Friday, 12 hours a day. Day or night shift available. Additional days and hours may be required.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to read drawings, use power tools and levels, and have experience working with fusion machines and torque wrenches.
  • Align, bolt and clamp together components of fabricated metal products to secure in position for welding.
  • Lay out and install equipment, vessels, skids, pumps, pipe and supports.
  • All offers are contingent on your ability to pass a drug and alcohol test.
  • All employees are required to join or already be a member of Pipefitters Local 354.

Water Truck Driver

Pay: $38/hr

Schedule: Current schedule is Monday to Friday, 12 hours a day. Day or night shift available. Additional days and hours may be required.

Requirements:

  • Operate medium- to large-sized trucks, transporting materials between company work sites using private roads and driving on public highways.
  • Load and unload trucks, using other equipment as necessary, such as forklifts.
  • Water truck experience required.
  • Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
  • All offers are contingent on your ability to pass a drug and alcohol test.
  • All employees are required to join or already be a member of Teamsters Local 110.
