MDTA Key Bridge Rebuild

Kiewit is providing Progressive Design-Build Services for the delivery of the Maryland Transportation Authority’s (MDTA) Key Bridge Rebuild Project.

Project Overview

Maryland Transportation Authority’s Key Bridge Rebuild

The Project will replace the 1.7-mile-long bridge on I-695/MD 695 that crossed the Patapsco River (before collapsing after a vessel strike in early 2024). During Phase 1 of the Project (Design), Kiewit will work closely with MDTA and key stakeholders to develop the project scope and requirements. Phase 2 will include final design/engineering and construction.

Kiewit brings the expertise, resources and an innovative and collaborative approach to deliver on MDTA’s goals of collaboration, schedule, safety, quality, cost and aesthetics.
