San Fernando Groundwater Remediation Projects
The Kiewit team designed and constructed water treatment facilities at two of the sites: North Hollywood Central and Tujunga. Using progressive design-build delivery (PDB), the team built two new state-of-the-art groundwater treatment facilities to extract water from two sets of existing, non-producing wells to treat 50-million-gallons-per-day (mgd) of groundwater at the Tujunga site and 25 mgd in North Hollywood.

Largo Wastewater Reclamation Facility Biological Treatment Improvements
The City of Largo selected Kiewit Infrastructure South Co. (Kiewit) to renovate its 50-year-old 18-MGD facility for biological treatment upgrades and a reduction in total effluent nitrogen. The team provided a strategy to construct the upgrades while keeping two-thirds of the plant operational for community use.

Jackie A. Meck Water Campus
Among the fastest growing cities in the United States, the city of Buckeye needed to expand its water infrastructure and supply to meet the community’s needs. The city chose the joint-venture team of Kiewit and Haydon Building Corp. to deliver a new 6-million-gallons-per-day (MGD) water treatment plant – later named the Jackie A. Meck Water Campus – and associated infrastructure to bolster the community’s water supply and accommodate future growth.
