North Runway Modernization – Vancouver International Airport (YVR)
To support resilience and growth at one of Canada’s busiest airports, YVR selected Kiewit to deliver a modernization of its North Runway. Originally opened in 1996, the runway is receiving a full asphalt overlay along with upgrades to taxiways, drainage, electrical and lighting systems.
Runway 8L Widening at Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL)
To support compliance with FAA standards and accommodate next-generation wide-body aircraft, Kiewit delivered a multi-phase widening of Runway 8L–26R, Honolulu’s primary airfield corridor. The project expanded the runway from 150 to 200 feet and reconstructed 2,000 feet of Portland Cement Concrete pavement, while milling and overlaying an additional 6,550 feet of asphalt.
New Crossfield Taxiway U
Kiewit is constructing the new Crossfield Taxiway U to improve aircraft movement between the north and south airfields at Phoenix Sky Harbor, one of the nation’s busiest airports. The project includes a three-span bridge over Sky Harbor Boulevard and Buckeye Road, roadway realignments, cargo parking expansion and tenant improvements — all carefully phased to maintain airport operations.
New Crossfield Taxiway U
South Terminal C – Orlando International Airport (MCO)
To accommodate record-breaking passenger volumes and future demand, Kiewit and our joint venture partner delivered the $1.4B South Terminal C as CMAR. The project added 15 new gates, a new 932,000-square-foot landside terminal, a six-level parking garage, 96 acres of civil work and extensive MEP systems.
