Kiewit subsidiary, TIC, performed mechanical installation of two Linde designed and furnished sulfur recovery units, one being 400 long tons per day and the other 200 long tons per day. All work was completed inside the boundaries of the 255,000-barrel-per-day operating refinery in Port Arthur, Texas.

Additionally, Kiewit fabricated 80 modules totaling 30,000 tons to support the expansion project, which increased its crude oil capacity to 600,000 barrels per day, making it the largest refinery in the U.S. A total of 19 barge shipments were made over an 11-month period. Modules were bolted construction consisting of both piperacks and process units.
