Receiving and Shipping Terminal - Destrehan, La.
Ibberson provided engineering and construction services to rebuild the export terminal that was damaged by a grain dust explosion.
Ibberson’s engineering staff completely redesigned the process flow of the grain export terminal, as well as performing all of the structural design and equipment procurement.
Our field personnel completed demolition of all existing equipment, reconstructed the damaged concrete, installed new structural steel, and installed all new equipment in the facility.
Project highlights include installation of approximately 5,000 feet of enclosed belt conveyors, five high-capacity bulk scales, four high-capacity bucket elevators with associated grain cleaning equipment, and a complete rebuild of the facility’s dust collection system.
Design, procurement and construction work were completed over a 10-month schedule to allow the client to use the facility for the fall harvest.
