Do Space - Omaha, Neb.
This project consisted of renovating an existing 26,000 sq. ft., two-story building located in the heart of Omaha at 72nd and Dodge. The project included a complete renovation of the interior space, all new mechanical and electrical systems, a new skin, an exterior media screen and a resurfaced parking lot.
Do Space is the first digital library of its kind in the entire country. It’s a concept that includes a community technology library, a digital workshop, and an innovation playground filled with opportunities to learn, grow, explore and create. Do Space offers trainings on software, managing finances, electronics, science classes, technology for aiding the blind, creating websites, creating apps, etc. It also gives people access to over 200 workstations, 3D printers, a laser cutter, and a 3D scanner.
