I-20 Augusta Rehabilitation - Augusta, GA

Completed nearly one year ahead of schedule, the $28 million I-20 Lane Replacement project involved replacing 13 mi. of east and westbound I-20. Additional work included roadway demolition and shoulder widening while maintaining traffic through this heavily traveled corridor.

I-229 Corridor - Sioux Falls, SD

A best-value selection process was used to select a Kiewit-led team to construct South Dakota's first design-build highway project. A 15-month construction window was established to minimize disruption on this 6.9-mi. loop of I-229. Despite one of the harshest winters in Sioux Falls' history, Kiewit finished 31 days ahead of schedule.

I-26 Mars Hill - Madison County, NC

The I-26 Mars Hill project was designated North Carolina's first interstate scenic byway. This 6 mi. project involved extending I-26 through the Appalachian Mountains and performing 24 million cu. yd. of excavation. At the time of it's completion in April 2002, this 64-month project was the largest ever undertaken by the North Carolina Department of Transportation.

I-40/Coors Interchange - Albuquerque, NM

With Albuquerque's population growing, the I-40/Coors Interchange could no longer accommodate the daily traffic volume. The design-build project to rebuild the heavily traveled roadway included the interchange reconstruction, eight new bridges, pedestrian and bicycle paths, retaining walls, utility relocations, drainage improvements, signage and lighting.

I-40 Emergency Bridge Repair - Webbers Falls, OK

On May 26, 2002, tragedy struck when a pair of errant barges hit the I-40 Bridge spanning the Arkansas River. The bridge was reopened to traffic on July 29, 2002 less than 47 days after receiving notice to proceed. The project has been called the fastest completion of its type in U.S. history.

I-5 and Highway 217 Reconstruction - Tigard, OR

Completed almost two months ahead of an aggressive schedule, the Kruse Way project involved reconstructing the intersection of I-5 and Hwy. 217. As the only freeway access into western Portland, this $38 million project relieved congestion for merging northbound I-5 traffic with the heavily traveled Hwy. 217.
