In June 1995, we completed reconstruction of the $2.2 million Taxiway K project. This taxiway, a major eastside artery, involved reworking the subgrade and demolition and removal of 15,000 sq. yd. of 17-in.-thick concrete taxiway.

E-470 Toll Road - Segment IV - Adams County to Thornton, CO

The final segment of the E-470 Toll Road consisted of a 12.5-mi.-long, four-lane divided toll highway. The award-winning $248 million project included construction of precast concrete girder and structural steel bridges, seven interchanges, eight toll booths, a toll plaza and maintenance facility.

El Portal Road - Yosemite National Park, CA

Working on an accelerated schedule that also minimized disruption to the park entrance, the Kiewit-led design-build team designed and constructed repairs and improvements to this flood-damaged roadway. Work included major drainage improvements, rehabilitation and reconstruction of the damaged sanitary sewer, asphalt concrete pavement replacement, and guidewall design and construction.

Glenn-Parks Interchange - Wasilla, AK

The renovated Glenn-Parks Interchange provides safer road conditions and less congestion for a growing number of commuters. The $46.9 million design-build contract was completed in November 2004 and included unique wetlands conservation and restoration measures to protect Alaska's delicate ecosystem.

Highway 17 - Garden River - Garden River, ON

This C$53 million design-build project includes construction of a 16 km. four-lane divided highway and 11 bridges. Extremely challenging soil conditions required crews to undergo extensive pre-loading and monitoring in order to have the new highway open for two-lane traffic in September 2006.

I-15 Corridor Reconstruction - Salt Lake City, UT

In 1997, Wasatch Constructors, a Kiewit-led joint venture, began work on UDOT's I-15 Reconstruction, a $1.3-billion design-build project. Demolishing, designing and rebuilding a 16-mi. stretch of freeway with 142 bridges, the team completed the job months ahead of schedule and in time for the 2002 Winter Olympics.
