White Rose Topsides – St. John’s and Marystown, Newfoundland
With a peak employment of more than 1,000 personnel, a Kiewit-led joint venture is engineering, procuring and constructing this 18-module, 11,000-tonne topsides at its Newfoundland fabrication facilities. The topsides will be integrated with a hull and turret for a projected “sail away” completion in August 2005.
Marco Polo Topsides
Fabrication and commissioning of 6,000-ton topsides. Owned by El Paso Energy.
Marco Polo Tendons
Fabrication of 28-in. OD tendons for 4,300-ft. water depth tension leg platform. Owned by El Paso Energy.
Samedan Gas Production Platform – Mediterranean Sea
In November 2002, Kiewit Offshore Services loaded Samedan Mari-B, a gas production platform located 15 mi. from Ashqelon , Israel in the Mediterranean Sea, on the world’s largest barge. This $59 million, 18-month project involved fabrication and commissioning of a 15,000-ton jacket and 5,000-ton topsides with the jacket, piling and deck located 800 ft. deep in the water.
