Buckskin Mining Company – Gillette, WY
Buckskin Mining Company is located 10 miles north of Gillette, Wyoming within the Powder River Basin. The Buckskin mine currently has a capacity of 27 million tons per year and can blend its coal product to meet the customers’ exact specifications.
Walnut Creek Mining Company – Bremond, TX
Established in 1989, Walnut Creek has a capacity of more than 2 million tons of lignite per year. The mine produces and hauls the fuel to the nearby Twin Oaks power plant, providing an excellent energy source in East Texas.
Black Butte Coal Company – Point of Rocks, WY
Located in the heart of Sweetwater County, Wyoming, this is the largest, by area, permitted surface mine in the United States. It is a complex multi-pit mine with a capacity of more than 3.5 million tons per year. The facility employs the latest high-production equipment to produce coal that is uniformly high in quality.
Decker Coal Company – Decker, MT
Operating since 1970 in Big Horn County, Montana, Decker Coal Company is located in the northern Powder River Basin. Under the management of Kiewit Mining Group, Inc., the mine continues to be a modern and productive surface facility that produces economical fuel for today's demanding energy market.
