Blair Lakes Range Maintenance Complex – Eielson Air Force Base, AK

This $16.7 million design-build project involves construction of a bulk fuel storage facility, a 20-person dormitory, and vehicle and range maintenance bays. The 2,800-sq.-meter complex has its own water, septic, power generation, communications, and fire protection systems.

Fort Gordon Vehicle Maintenance Facility – Fort Gordon, GA

Kiewit Power Engineers Co. provided design services for this U.S. Army Corps of Engineers design-build project, which included two vehicle maintenance shops, two hazardous waste storage buildings, two fuel storage buildings, a 791,000-sq.-ft. hardstand area, and vehicle maintenance repair bays with anti-terrorism/force protection features.

Everett Naval Station Carrier Pier – Everett, WA

The $56 million Puget Sound Carrier Support Complex project included construction of a 1,680-ft.-long by 126-ft.-wide carrier pier and a 470-ft.-long by 144-ft.-wide marginal wharf for escort vessels. Ship service utilities included steam, potable water, sanitary sewer, and shore power electrical service and communications lines.

Hickam Dormitory and Hangar Complex – Honolulu, HI

Kiewit Pacific Co. constructed both the $7.8 million Hickam Air Force Base Dormitory and the $5.2 million Hickam Hanger Complex for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The dormitory is a three-story, 38,300-sq.-ft. building to house enlisted military personnel. Construction of the hangar involved upgrading the fire alarm and sprinkler systems for Hangars 34 and 35.
