Safety
Safety performance is one of the most visible signs of construction excellence. Our safety record is significantly better than the industry average and is a direct result of our employees’ commitment to performing work in the safest manner possible. Safety is a line responsibility at Kiewit. We use a multitude of programs to achieve our goal of zero accidents, including monthly, weekly and daily safety meetings; incentive programs; task-specific hazard analyses; and safety committee audits.
Quality
Quality is fundamental to our culture. Our quality framework is founded upon management commitment and understanding, a strong quality organization, and building work "right the first time." Each employee is held accountable for knowing and achieving the owner’s quality requirements. If deficiencies are discovered, a root cause analysis is immediately performed, the problem is remedied, and the results are communicated to the entire project team. Constant owner involvement is crucial in delivering a quality product.
