DFW Connector - Dallas-Fort Worth, TX
The Texas Department of Transportation awarded the DFW Connector contract to NorthGate Constructors, a Kiewit-led joint venture. The $1.02 billion project scope includes the development, design and construction of the 8.4-mile initial phase of the ultimate 14.4-mile project. The project will reduce congestion at the confluence of two of the area’s most heavily traveled highways, and ease access into DFW International Airport. Ultimately doubling the capacity of the existing highway corridor, the DFW Connector will rebuild portions of four highways, two interchanges, and five bridges.
Huey P. Long Bridge - Kenner, LA
As the final contract of a series of four to upgrade the capacity of the existing bridge, Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development selected a Kiewit-led joint venture the $433 million project. The project will add an additional lane in each direction to the Huey P. Long Bridge along with 8-foot emergency shoulders.
Interstate 10 Twin Spans - New Orleans, LA
The existing Twin Span Bridge over Lake Pontchartrain, La. was heavily damaged by Hurricane Katrina. The powerful storm surge knocked many of the bridge’s concrete segments into the lake. To prevent this from reoccurring, the new bridge is higher, bigger and stronger. As part of a joint venture team, Kiewit began work in January 2007 on the 1.1-mile-long high-rise portion of the new twin I-10 bridges.
IH-30 Tom Landry Highway - Dallas, TX
In February 2003, Gilbert Texas Construction, L.P. was selected to widen and reconstruct approximately 4.5 mi. of the existing IH-30 from east of Loop 12 to Sylvan Ave. to four new lanes each direction. This $98 million project also involves reconstructing 11 bridges and constructing four types of retaining walls.

The removal and replacement of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport's 10,000 ft.-long 8R-26L Runway was completed in 60 days. The project included installation of underdrains, base materials and electrical lighting; and repaving the runway with 20 inch thick Portland cement concrete paving.
I-40 Emergency Bridge Repair - Webbers Falls, OK
