Pacific Structures

Overview

Jobs Done Well

Kiewit’s Pacific Structures District is a leader in heavy construction. Since 1985, we have been building some of the most modern and technically challenging structures in North America.

Based in Vancouver, Wash., we work primarily on West Coast states, including Alaska and Hawaii. We also pursue opportunities throughout the U.S. and Canada. Our areas of expertise include:

  • Bridges
  • Water/Wastewater facilities
  • Dams and reservoirs
  • Mass transit, light rail and heavy rail
  • Inland marine facilities
  • Hydroelectric facilities

Our work includes upgrading 62 miles of highway and 48 new bridges to prepare Vancouver for the 2010 Winter Olympics called the Sea-to-Sky Highway improvement project, improving public transportation between Montreal and the North Shore with the construction of Autoroute 25; replacing both existing bridge approaches, transition truss spans and renovating three existing pontoons of the Hood Canal Bridge; and constructing the new Folsom Dam Bridge to accommodate the 26,000 cars that crossed Folsom Dam every day prior to its closing after Sept. 11.

With extensive resources that include talented people, in-depth market knowledge, state-of-the-art equipment and unparalleled experience, Kiewit is uniquely qualified to handle any size project.

The Pacific Structures District conducts its operations primarily through Kiewit Pacific Co., a subsidiary of Kiewit Corporation.
