Since the mid-1940s, the Northern California District has been building projects throughout California and Nevada. Notable projects include the $90 million BART Rapid Transit Tube Tunnel between San Francisco and Oakland and the $1+ billion San Francisco/Oakland Bay Bridge. Our district is one of the most diverse units within Kiewit, performing construction of highways, bridges, dams, water treatment plants, telecommunications, grading and infrastructure and transit work. The district also operates precast concrete plants in California and Arizona.
Based out of Fairfield, California, we perform most of our work from Redding to Fresno, California and northern Nevada. Our expertise in structural, civil, mechanical, foundations and precast work allows us to adapt to changing markets. With extensive resources that include talented people, in-depth market knowledge, state-of-the-art equipment and unparalleled experience, the Northern California District is uniquely qualified to handle any size project.
The Northern California District conducts its operations primarily through Kiewit Infrastructure West Co., part of the Kiewit Infrastructure Group and a subsidiary of Kiewit Corporation.
