From charity work to green initiatives to encouraging wellness at all levels of the organization, Kiewit Energy Canada is looking toward the future by adopting policies that not only affect its employees but all citizens.
Making Children's Wishes Come True
Kiewit Energy Canada plays a significant role in “making wishes come true” for children who are battling life-threatening illnesses.
We support special events across Alberta to provide enough fundraising for a number of special children to have their wishes granted.
Kiewit Energy Canada is looking forward to sponsoring such events and in developing relationships with foundations that make children’s wishes come true.
Helping people Help Themselves
Kiewit Energy Canada strives to give back to its community by partnering with organizations that invest in programs and services to help people obtain job skills and employment, develop financial literacy as well as access and maintain safe affordable housing.
Kiewit has taken a strong stance in supporting groups that promote helping people succeed in their life, and in doing so, we’ve helped to raise significant funds in 2008 and look forward to continuing our support.
Commitment to Green
Going “green” is a term coming to the forefront of modern society, and Kiewit Energy Canada is looking to add itself to the growing list of industrial organizations aiming to improve the carbon footprint that is being left behind. Kiewit strives for as little impact on the environment as possible and utilizes the below initiatives to do so. In this age where the environment is as delicate as it is, Kiewit is leading the way in protecting our resources and leaving a healthy environmental stamp on all its projects.
Improving Water Quality
We build water and wastewater treatment plants. Helping conserve our most important natural resource is a job we’re proud to do.
Reclaiming the Earth
Before going green was popular, Kiewit was already conducting wildlife, vegetation and archaeological studies and using innovative land reclamation practices to protect the delicate ecological balance in areas where we operate. Our reclaimed lands set standards other companies follow.
Renewable Energy
Our work in renewable energy markets includes wind power, concentrated solar power, hydroelectricity, geothermal energy and alternative fuel sources.
Improving the Air
We perform air quality retrofit projects, including sulphur, mercury, CO2 and particulate removal.
