Kiewit Building Group

Alaska Area Office

Alaska Area Office

Kiewit has been working in Alaska for more than 60 years. In 1946, Kiewit began its first Alaskan project, designing and building the barracks for what is now known as Fort Wainwright. Since those early years, Kiewit has constructed many significant buildings within Alaska, including the Performing Arts Center and Ted Stevens International Airport Concourse C in Anchorage, the State Office Building in Juneau and multiple educational buildings and dormitories on the University of Alaska Fairbanks’ campus.

Kiewit Building Group Alaska is proud of its principles. Unwavering honesty, integrity, reliability and dedication to providing high-quality projects in a safe working environment are the founding principles of every project, then and now. Kiewit’s decentralized structure allows us to act and perform as a local contractor with national resources to draw upon as needed.

Our commitment to the local community is reflected in our hiring practices. The majority of our employees are lifelong residents who understand how to meet the unique challenges of building in Alaska. As a construction manager, we work as a partner with all stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget. Kiewit Building Group’s mission to continue building Alaska’s future drives us to meet or exceed our client’s expectations, and we strive for 100 percent client satisfaction. We build Alaska with Alaskans for Alaskans.
