Transit Facilities

Transit Facilities Experience

Planes, trains, and automobiles. Today’s means of transportation may differ from our first transit-oriented project in 1921 for the Yellow Cab Company, but much of the planning and logistical coordination is still required. Today, Kiewit Building Group has built a multitude of transportation-oriented projects ranging from multi-modal transportation hubs to airports to parking garages. Whatever your need, our team of professionals has the experience. Let us get you moving in the right direction.

AIA Concourse C - Anchorage, AK
Kiewit Construction Company was awarded the Phase I and Phase II contracts for a new nine-gate commercial aircraft terminal and Arrivals Hall at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport. With an emphasis on partnering, crews were able to overcome scheduling and security challenges to complete the project much earlier than expected.
Lincoln Parking Structure - Lone Tree, CO
The Lincoln Parking Structure project is the largest of the parking structures Kiewit built for Colorado’s T-REX. At 560,000 square feet, the seven-level structure has 2,105 parking stalls, one underground parking level and six elevated tiers.
Parking Structure H - Aurora, CO
Unexpected asbestos abatement and the second snowiest winter in Colorado’s history were some of the challenges Kiewit Building Group Inc. faced while building Parking Structure H. However, Kiewit met the challenges, achieving beneficial occupancy by opening two levels of the parking structure and completed the project on the requested date.
Dry Creek Pedestrian Bridge Station - Englewood, CO
Kiewit Building Group Inc. constructed the Dry Creek Pedestrian Bridge. The 760-foot covered walkway is the longest single pedestrian bridge span to date over I-25.
