Employee Ownership Plan
Kiewit is owned by active employees through participation in the Peter Kiewit Sons', Inc. Employee Ownership Plan (the Plan). Employee ownership is a key factor in our long-term success. Approximately 75 percent of our salaried employees who have been with Kiewit five years or longer own interests in the Plan.
Individuals who are selected to become Plan participants have demonstrated a commitment to meeting Kiewit expectations. Their goals are closely aligned with the company's – they think and act like owners. To become a Plan participant, an employee typically has three to five years of Kiewit experience in a leadership role and demonstrates the potential to assume additional responsibilities.
